Cat B Fitout: Local Authority Islington Council
We worked with Morty and Bobs’ on the fit out of one of the arches at Coal Drops Yard. The tone of the design was to reinforce M&B’s approach of low key but tasty food. Reclaimed materials, colour and shapes that follow the flow of the spaces and the hero the vaulted ceiling and exposed brickwork of the existing arches.
Existing Listed Building Structure
The steel columns that spanned the arches sat on stone plinths, which became focal points within the unit. To celebrate these elements, we followed the shape of the stone plinths in the floor finishes - quite echoes of what is there already.
Use of Timber
Contrasting timber tones were used in the furniture, worktop and cladding to the servery area.
