Design Approach:

We have designed this Edwardian mid-terrace house in Wandsworth to transform a home that had remained largely unchanged for decades into a contemporary family home.

Working closely with the clients, we introduced carefully considered extensions at basement, ground, first and loft level, creating a series of flexible spaces tailored to modern family life.

At the heart of the design is a sculptural new staircase that glides through the house, connecting each floor and bringing light into the centre of the plan. Every corner has been carefully considered to maximise space and functionality, while new connections between the basement and garden, and between the upper ground floor and the landscape beyond, create a seamless relationship between inside and out.
